By opening up a wall in this SW Portland mid-century home, the kitchen and main living area are now illuminated with natural light and the space is more inviting for entertaining. Walnut cabinetry and wood screen accents are a nod to its 1964 origins. The Ann Sacks tile and White Oak hardwoods warm the rooms. Additional scope included updating the main bathroom and replacing the front door with side light and a bay window in the kitchen.
