This modern home replaced a burned down house on a tree lined lot backed up against Portland’s Bridlemile Creek. Since the fire damaged home could not be remodeled, the goal of the project was to build a new home that would be sustainable, healthy, and comfortable. This four bedroom, three bath, 3957 square foot custom designed home includes a master suite, a large entertainment room in the daylight basement, laundry on both floors, multiple outdoor living spaces, and a two car tuck-under garage. It received Earth Advantages Platinum certification and is solar ready. This means this home has better air quality, has year-round comfort due to its airtight envelope, and energy savings that can make the owners feel good about their carbon footprint.
